THE CREDIT CRUNCH! Words made up by a team of people that have put us in an untenable situation. In the USA they have frozen credit. People have actually started to kill their families and themselves. People are suffering ill health in the form of headaches, stomach ulcers, back complaints, and even heart attacks, now, more so than ever before, because they are TERRIFIED. This is not right people! We should not allow this to happen to us.
In Britain, which is where I live, I know of people who are losing, and have lost their homes. People who have lived in their homes for the past 20 odd years, are now living in Council houses due to the fact that the world is melting economically and they are victims of this. They didn't cause this, yet they have to bear the brunt of it. We didn't cause this, yet we have to bear the brunt of it.
It would seem that people who have money are cashing in on the poor and weak and offering a meager wage to people who are so desperate for work that they'll take the job, as anything is better than nothing. It is disgusting and it's time that Britain, the USA and others stood United and said NO, we are not going to take this. Imagine if everyone downed tools, and refused the wealthy unless they paid a decent wage? Wouldn't' that be one for the books? And believe me, the wealthy would pay! They need these people to work for them, or they will go under too.
Nothing drives a man faster than the fear of sudden death. The fear of a man losing his wealth is enough to make him be fair to a man who has lost all he owns.
It is a passionate topic, as it affects peoples lives. It's unpleasant to see people in misery and pain. But, there is a positive side to this. I urge you all who have lost your jobs to go out there and create your own empires. It is not impossible and it's one thing that the poorer countries of this world are very good at. Take something that you know how to do, and expand on it. use it. You don't know how good you are at something till you try it. Say for example you are good at fixing cars. Start your own little mechanics business. It might be small in the beginning, but it'll build up as you get a good reputation. In no time, you will have your own business and make good money at that. No longer afraid that you can't pay the rent.
If we become a nation of entrepreneurs, we will do just fine in these hard times. We must be brave enough to go ahead and do it. Or, tell the people who refuse to pay us what we are worth, that we won't do their dirty work anymore. It just is as simple as that. It is called courage, and we've never needed it more so than now.
